Send an Enquiry

Send an insulation enquiry: state the route, the form and the application, and ask for quantity, timing and terms to be confirmed together.

How to write the enquiry

Start with the route: rock wool, glass wool, rubber foam or cellular glass. Then name the form: boards, blankets, batts, sheets, tubes, facings, pipe sections, gravel or custom shapes, as listed for that route. Then describe the application: a building envelope, a heating and cooling system, a mechanical system, an industrial system, a tank, a pipeline or a cold-service system. Those three facts, route, form and application, are the minimum a supplier needs before quantity terms, timing and documents can be discussed for the items named.

Add the quantities where they are known, and any site conditions that affect handling, cutting or fixing. If the system runs hot, cold or across a wide range, say so. If the insulation must sit against a particular surface or follow a particular shape, say that too. If documents are needed for the items, ask about them by item, so that the answer can be matched to the order rather than given as a general statement.

After sending the enquiry

The enquiry form asks for a name, an email address for reply, and a message. Use the message to carry the route, form and application, together with the questions on quantity, timing, trade terms, payment method and documents. A short message that contains those facts will be easier to answer directly than a long message that leaves the application unstated. The checklist pages on this site collect the same questions in order, and they can be used as a drafting aid before the form is sent.

Certificates available upon request. Please confirm the minimum order quantity in your inquiry before placing an order. Please confirm the lead time with the supplier before placing an order. Please confirm the trade terms and payment method before confirming an order.
